Intro To SUP Lesson + One Hour Rental<\/h2>\n

Our Intro to SUP Lessons are approximately 1 hour of instruction from a certified SUP instructor. We start by going over all equipment needed for standup paddle-boarding, we begin ON LAND approximately 20 minutes with basic lessons and fundamentals on carrying the board, getting on \/off, kneeling\/standing body placement, paddling techniques and safety. Then we will take the lessons to the water and continue to work on everything we just learned on land. With your remaining one hour lesson you will continue to practice working on your techniques and correcting any areas of concern for your safety. We want you to paddle away feeling comfortable and confident we have included an additional hour so that you can go on your own unique adventure. Standup paddle boarding is frequently called SUP and is an ideal sport to learn on flat bodies of water and provides the sensation of walking on water. The main difference between surfing and SUPing is that the paddler doesn\u2019t need a wave. A standup paddler can quickly and easily travel across open waters and rivers.
\nWe offer 1 on 1 and Semi Private Group Lessons up to 5 paddlers<\/p>\n

Now children have the opportunity to have their own SUP board. We currently offer 8 foot boards that is used for youth boards or small little adults. Please be sure to confirm with the shop owner that theirs enough to go around. Any child under 4 feet tall who would like to participate may do so on the same stand up paddle board as the accompanying adult.<\/strong><\/p>\n

All children age 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult while stand up paddle boarding.<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • Shoes you don\u2019t mind getting wet, these will be used to keep from slipping on rocks as we enter the water.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
